Tinkercad is an online tool and iOS application that allow users to design in 3D, simulate electronic circuits and use block-based coding to bring the 3D design and electronic circuits to life.
Application
Students and teachers can learn the basics of Computer Aided Design (CAD) to create 3D solutions that can be exported for 3D printing, laser cuting, and placed as 3D objects and images into presentations. Tinkercad also allows users to simulate electronic circuits, Micro:Bits, and Arduinos to test and iterate ideas before physically making a project. Tinkercad also extends the CAD drawings and circuit design by allowing students to use block-based coding to manipulate their 3D designs and electronic circuits.
