Strategic Plan

Guided by our vision to empower Catholic school communities, the CNA Board commits to upholding the principles of community, equity, and value. Through strategic collaboration and continuous improvement, we will build on our shared strengths to meet today’s challenges and the opportunities of tomorrow.

Vision

Empower Catholic school communities with technologies that serve today and shape tomorrow

Objectives

Community

Foster an inclusive Catholic education community that connects expertise, shares innovation, and strengthens collective capacity across Australia.

Equity

Champion equity, ensuring every school—regardless of size, geography, or resourcing—can participate fully in the Catholic education ecosystem.

Value

Deliver lasting value through collaborative procurement and shared innovation, creating tangible benefits that strengthen system-wide impact.

Core Activities

Strategic Pillars

Education

The Education Working Group strengthens digital literacy, curates high-quality learning resources, and fosters collaboration to enhance teaching and learning across Catholic Network Australia.

By promoting equity, connecting educators nationwide, and delivering shared value, the group supports all CNA working parties in advancing contemporary pedagogy and student outcomes, rather than functioning as a standalone education program.

Governance

The Governance Working Group establishes governance frameworks, implements effective risk management practices, and ensures organisational accountability across Catholic Network Australia.

By championing equity, strengthening connections across CNA and delivering value, the group provides foundational governance support and oversight for all CNA working parties, rather than operating as a standalone governance group.

Communication

The Communication Working Group serves to increase member engagement, enhance awareness of CNA's vision and services, and foster collaboration across the network.

The group supports and amplifies messaging from other Working Groups—particularly the Education and Technology Working Groups—rather than developing independent communications initiatives.

Technology

The Technology Working Group enhances digital inclusion, strengthens cybersecurity, and supports an optimised, future-ready portfolio of technology services for Catholic Network Australia.

By championing equitable access, deepening connections across systems, and maximising value, the group ensures that technology initiatives uplift all CNA participants and enable 21st-century learning at scale rather than operating as a standalone ICT function.

Commercial

The Commercial Working Group streamlines procurement, leads vendor engagement, and manages CNA’s suite of Master Service Agreements to ensure transparent, equitable, and value-driven commercial outcomes.

By advancing equity, fostering collaboration across jurisdictions, and delivering tangible savings, the group provides commercial stewardship for all CNA working parties, supporting shared national priorities rather than acting as a separate procurement arm.
