Seesaw
Description
Seesaw is a platform for empowering students to demonstrate and share their learning. Students use powerful creative tools in the Seesaw app to create, reflect and demonstrate learning. When students share their learning in their Seesaw portfolio, teachers and families gain valuable insights into what their students know and can better support their development throughout the school year.
Application
Seesaw can be used as a learning journey tool for students to upload work samples or create directly into their journal space. Students can use multi-modal tools including video, audio, text and drawing tools to explore ideas and demonstrate their understanding. Teachers are able to assign tasks to individuals, groups or the whole class and access and edit activities made by other educators in their district or across the world. Seesaw activities can be mapped to specific skills or curriculum links that are relevant to the district. Teachers can give feedback and track student progress across time. Seesaw also allows communicating with families about in class learning and school announcements.
