A deeper dive into AI in Education: Ethical and Responsible Use
Designed for school leaders and teachers, this course builds confidence in the safe, ethical, and responsible use of AI in schools. Developed by Cyber Safety Project and Trent Ray, it aligns with Catholic values and child safeguarding principles, helping educators navigate AI tools wisely and protect student data. Through practical examples and clear strategies, participants strengthen digital safety, fairness, and wellbeing across their school communities.
The limited time offer (AVAILABLE UNTIL 30 NOVEMBER 2025) comprises the following four 30-minute modules:
MODULE 1: AI IN EDUCATION
AI is changing the way we teach and learn, but misconceptions and misuse can lead to poor decisions and unethical practices. This module helps educators bust common myths, recognise AI-generated content in images and videos, and understand how to harness AI’s potential while avoiding its pitfalls.
MODULE 2: STUDENT PRIVACY AND DATA
With increasing reliance on AI, protecting student data has never been more critical. This module builds awareness of privacy risks, clarifies the difference between personal and sensitive information, and shows how to create a culture of data protection that meets compliance standards.
MODULE 3: ETHICS IN AN AI WORLD
Unethical use of AI can result in bias and harm to students. This module equips educators to apply ethical principles, identify bias in AI tools, and craft prompts that promote fairness and inclusivity, ensuring AI supports dignity and equity in every classroom.
MODULE 4: SELECTING & IMPLEMENTING AI TOOLS
Choosing the wrong AI tool can compromise safety and learning outcomes. This module provides clear frameworks for evaluating AI tools, understanding data sovereignty, and integrating AI responsibly into teaching practice, making technology decisions simple and effective.
