NSW Anti-Bullying Framework
Reposted from Council of Catholic School Parents NSW on 22.10.26
NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) has published a new webpage outlining how they will monitor and support implementation of the NSW Anti-Bullying Framework from 2027.
The webpage provides access to the Framework and supporting resources to help schools prepare for implementation in 2027.

What parents need to know
From 2027, all schools across New South Wales will be required to follow a new, consistent approach to preventing and responding to bullying. The NSW Anti-Bullying Framework aims to ensure every child learns in a safe, respectful and supportive environment.
What is changing?
For the first time, all government, Catholic and independent schools will use the same evidence-based framework. Each school must have a clear anti-bullying policy aligned to four key areas:
Prevention – building positive school culture and teaching respectful relationships
Response – acting quickly and effectively when bullying occurs
Partnerships – working with families and the wider community
Implementation – ensuring policies are clear, consistent and followed
Schools will also be required to publish their anti-bullying policy on their website so families can easily understand how issues are managed.
What will schools need to demonstrate in 2027?
