Scratch is a free coding platform and community for students aged 8 - 16. It uses a coding language with a simple visual interface that allows young people to create digital stories, games, and animations.
Application
Scratch is a great way for students to learn computational thinking and problem solving skills. They will also be able to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively . Teachers are supported with resources such as Scratch in Practice, Educator Guides and the Creative Computing Curriculum. Scratch is also used as a programming language for external products such as LEGO Spike Prime and Essentials, Makey Makey, Edison robots + more.
