The Australian Government has established the School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI) to provide free home internet for up to 30,000 unconnected families with school aged students until the end of December, 2025.

Eligibility

Households must meet the following criteria

Child at school
have a child enrolled in an Australian school

No home internet
don’t have an active NBN internet service at home - must not have an active connection in the past 14 days (excludes mobile internet services)

Live in serviceable area
live in an area where NBN can be accessed through a standard connection (NBN will confirm this).

Do you have home internet?

if not, you may be eligible for 12 months
of free home internet through SSBI.
